John  represents developers, investors, landlords, tenants, sellers, buyers, borrowers and lenders in a broad spectrum of sophisticated, substantial and complex real estate transactions.  His clients include developers, landlords, tenants, wealthy individuals and entrepreneurs.  John focuses on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and financing with respect to office, industrial, commercial and retail properties.

John has represented a joint venture between a developer and a life insurance company in its sale of a 600,000+ square foot industrial park;  was counsel to the owner of a 350 acre industrial park in the negotiation, documentation and ongoing implementation of a 12 year, $100,000,000+ credit facility, and ultimate acquisition of the debt, from a national commercial lender; and represented investors who assembled land adjacent to an Indian reservation and casino, negotiated new entitlements for such land, and sold it in bulk to a joint venture between a national home builder and the Indian tribe.  He is ongoing counsel to a real estate investment firm which, through affiliates, owns and operates more than 25,000,000 square feet of commercial and industrial property throughout the United States, in the acquisition, development, financing, leasing and sale of properties within that portfolio and a national logistics company in the negotiation and documentation of leases throughout the United States.  John has represented a Nasdaq-listed manufacturer seller/tenant in a sale leaseback transaction with a national pension fund advisor; was the lead non-bankruptcy counsel to investors who acquired an industrial building from a solar panel manufacturer bankruptcy debtor; negotiated agreements for the decommissioning and cleanup of the former solar panel manufacturing operation; negotiated the acquisition of an adjacent land parcel from the local governing agency for additional parking; and negotiated leases for the entire subdivided building.  In addition, John is primary counsel to the owner in a 110,000 square foot southern California creative office campus build-to-suit 12 year lease to a nationally-known audio products and entertainment company.
